Parents Email – Mouse Races

[level-bombers-family]

Hi everyone!

It’s that time again, the Dardenne Derby Mouse Race event is just around the corner. First, let me introduce myself to those of you that do not know me. My name is Melissa Bredensteiner, married to Coach Bob, mom to Trey, #4 on the 12u team and Jackson, #4 on the 10u team. I have been around since the beginning of Bombers baseball, but this is my second year as the Mouse Race “chairperson” and am here to help you as parents make this a fun, organized, profitable fundraiser for the Bombers Baseball teams. Please feel free to contact me via email or cell phone with any questions or comments. Please know that I will reply as soon as possible, but in my job I am with patients during the day and do not always have access to my cell phone or email, so it may be later in the day before I respond.

If you have been reading the latest emails you know that we have some new additions to the Bombers’ organization and we welcome them with wide open arms. Because of this and to better serve the players, there will be some changes to how things work this year, so I apologize for the long email in advance! Here it goes!

4th Annual Bombers Baseball
Dardenne Derby Mouse Races

Saturday, March 1st, 2014
Knights of Columbus Hall
2199 Post Rd., Dardenne, MO
6:00 – 10:00pm

Admission Tickets: Each player will be given 7 admission tickets and will be responsible for selling those tickets. You do not have to pay for tickets for the player or the parents of that player. If you are unable or do not want to sell any tickets, you are responsible for finding another family who can sell them. I am sure this is not going to be a problem, we sold out last year, some families selling as much as 30 tickets!! But please know that this year each ticket will be numbered and we will be tracking what each player sells to keep it fair. The ticket price has increased to $20.00 per admission ticket, this includes:

  • entry into the event
  • an entry into a raffle for a 42″ flat screen TV {unpaid tickets will not be entered into the drawing}
  • beer, soda and snacks

Raffle Tickets: {$10.00} These can/will be sold separately for entry to win the TV. This is for your friends, family, co workers, neighbors that cannot attend. There is NO LIMIT to how many you can sell. There is a place to write name and address on the ticket, they do not need to be present to win!

Silent Auction: Please start collecting now! Be creative and use what you know! By that I mean think of the stores and businesses where you spend your hard earned dollars. Maybe they would be willing to donate a gift card? Business/Corporate contacts may have baseball or other sporting event tickets to donate? You can go in with another family and make it a project together too. I will be at some of the Winter Warm Up practices to collect items, you can drop items off at my house and/or you can give items to Coach Bob, Coach Brandon (Shannon), Coach Scott (Julie) or Coach Dustin (Mary) at any time. The sooner the better! There is a deadline for auction items this year, all silent auction items must be in NO LATER than February 23rd! This is necessary so all the documentation and organizing can be done prior to event day.

Bucket of Booze / Lottery Tickets: We are asking that each family donate one bottle of booze and 10 lottery tickets for raffle purposes also! We have more players this year, so I think one bottle of booze is enough, our guests continue to love this every year and it is a great money maker!

Parking: We remember this was an issue last year. We are coming up with some ideas on how to handle this better, look for further emails on this issue.

I look forward to seeing and meeting all of you this Sunday at the batting cages and will have admission and raffle tickets to hand out.

GO BOMBERS!
