Complete Team Effort Ignites Comeback

On a hot and humid night at Westhoff Field #2 the 8u (Scachitti) Bombers had their bats on ice early against the Tigers. Trailing 6-0, the Bombers finally posted a crooked number on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third but still trailed 6-1. After shutting down the Tigers the Bombers rallied with 5 runs of their own to square the contest at 6-6.

The Tigers responded and did so in a big way with 5 runs in the top of the 5th. The Bombers then answered with another big inning with key hits coming from Blake S., Conner H. and Kenny R. with runners on base and 2 outs.

Tied 11-11, the Tigers weren’t able to get anything going in the top of the 6th inning, paving the way for the Bombers to complete the comeback. Aiden M. reached base as the lead off hitter in the bottom of the 6th and would eventually come around to score the winning run for the Bombers.

The Bombers gave great effort, maintained positive attitudes and played with great energy to notch their third win of the season in dramatic fashion.
